Jon Loveanich, the mega rich Olive Oil magnate from Lincoln walked away from Balmacewan Golf course in Dunedin a happy man after winning Woodpecker VI in the closest finish in tournament history.
Day one – St Clair

Jon Loveanich, Simon Chur and Mark Gemstone set the early pace with Loveridge one shot ahead heading into day two. Many of the big name players failed to fire a shot and the question on everyone’s lips was “Will we see the 1st ever debutante winner?”and if so, “What the fark are the Handicapping Committee playing at?”

- 13th Hole: John Weak joins Ross in lead by by 3.

- 14th Hole: Loveridge and Johnson lead by 1. Loveridge dribbles on ladies tee

- 15th Hole: Loveridge leads by 1.
Loveridge shanks tee-shot over clubhouse and into disabled car park 

- 16th Hole: Johnson and Woodley tied for lead.
Woodley chobbles into the 16th bunker and can’t get out 

- 17th Hole: Johnson and Loveridge lead by 1.
Johnson takes 4 shots to get past gorse bush and throws a paddy
