Hunks Leads Hawx
Alaine Hunks cemented the Hawx place as one of the greatest teams ever in the Johnny Woodpecker Memorial Golf Classic when he became the third straight singles champion and led them to a triple double, surpassing the achievements of the Magpie Blackwash of the early 2000s.
Hunks led from the start to finish over the Magpie’s new signing David Simon to comfortably win by 5 shots after a see-saw afternoon that saw the tournament lead change on more than seven separate occassions.
Hawx captain Cristal Wagstaff was naturally delighted with the performance of the team: “It’s a true reflection of the leadership strength and depth that we now have in the Hawx. We’re not a one trick pony and we have now elevated ourselves to true legend status!”
