Former Falcon Drewes Clues famously quoted in 2022 “A champion team will always beat a team of champions” when he was dropped by the Falcons into new feeder team the Fantails. The team that he was referring to was the magnificent Magpies. A team with no good golf players, but one who found a way to win time and time again even whilst wearing ridiculous golfing outawear. Clues was also in contention for the individual trophy in 2022, devoid of a team to support him as part of Long Strokes initiative to create a feeder team.

Clues frustration was understandable as he had written songs, and played for 9 years in the worst team in Woodpecker history that thought that they were the best.

“You have to ask yourself. Why does The Cock trophy get polished like it’s just walked out of a trophy shop, yet the Johnny Woodpecker trophy looks like someone found it in dumpster outside an opshop.
