2023 – Nude Vaginor

Vaginor breaks through for the Bay

He iti hau marangai e tū te pāhokahoka.

Just like a rainbow after the storm, success follows failure.

After 18 years of failing to break a 100-shot average, Nude Vaginor finally broke 100 and, in doing so, finally knocked the bastard off with a deserved 6-shot victory at Woodpecker XXV.

With team captain Burguezz taking a record 10-shot handicap deduction (and teammates Stealin and Gemstone TAB favourites), the pressure was lifted as Major put on a faultless back nine to pull away from day one leader, 1999 Swan champion John Weak and win comfortably.

“It was just a really enjoyable day. There wasn’t any pressure. Everyone was enjoying the moment and the banter. Johnny put on an awesome event, and to play on the local Ahipara course to finish was a real treat. “

The challenges of Stealin and Morsely failed to materialise as they faltered in the heat and finished 7th and 8th, respectively, with Ahirapara local Don Sure completing the podium with a fast finishing 91.
